Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet's NMCPAC EAD Unit Guam is seeking a Supervisory Ordnance Operations specialist to lead ammunition operations and logistics within a naval munitions framework.

The role requires directing budgeting, compliance with NAVSEA OP 5 safety standards, applying NEW limits and compatibility criteria, and overseeing DOT/military regulations for safe transport of explosives on public highways. Supervision of FWS and GS personnel is included.

Qualifications

  • Experience budgeting, organizing, directing and coordinating ammunition operations and logistics.
  • Experience with Navy explosives safety standards (NAVSEA OP 5).
  • Applying Net Explosive Weight (NEW) limits, compatibility grouping and sentencing criteria.
  • Experience with DOT and military regs governing safe transit of explosives on public highways.
  • Supervising FWS and GS employees, including supervision and technical direction.

Job description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ORDNANCE OPERATIONS in the Navy Munitions Command Pacific East Asia Division of NMCPAC EAD UNIT GUAM.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • 1) Experience in budgeting, organizing, directing and coordinating ammunition operations and logistics support.
  • 2) Experience with Navy explosives safety standards (e.g., NAVSEA OP 5).
  • 3) Appling Net Explosive Weight (NEW) limits, compatibility grouping, and ammunition sentencing criteria.
  • 4) Experience with execution of Department of Transportation (DOT) and military logistics regulations governing the safe transit, blocking, bracing, and transportation of explosives on public highway.
  • 5) Supervising Federal Wage System (FWS) and General Schedule (GS) employees (to includes planning, operations support (creating watch-bills), program management, providing supervision and technical direction, logistics and traffic management coordination, labor-management relations, and enforcing PPE and safety protocols and requirements)
