Responsibilities
  • Serves as first-level supervisor. Responsibilities include planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees which includes both a software focused automation team, as well as the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) team.
  • In addition, this position is responsible, as the lead Program Manager for CIPS, for the development of sound integrated, short and long-term planning, program management, acquisition, implementation, integration of communications-computer systems and Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) systems and funding strategies to field Air Force, Command, and Base-level mission-essential technology systems and equipment.

  1. Extensive working knowledge of policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning C4ISR concepts, systems, architectures, and programmatic management skills. A thorough knowledge of AF, DISA, and ACC policies, standards, and procedures pertaining to C4ISR Information Technology systems.
  2. In-depth working knowledge of existing DOD information technology systems and their capabilities. Must understand, evaluate, and translate the needs of information technology users into requirements and be capable of analyzing systems incorporating multiple and diverse IT commodities, and the ability to conceive an integrated plan, successfully translating all system requirements into a suitable implementation program.
  3. Expert knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition, integrated logistics support and program management to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of the development, production and deployment of comm.-computer systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  4. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
