Duties

If selected, you will serve as the Supervisory Information Technology (IT) Specialist for the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Western District of Washington. You will be responsible for independently planning, designing, executing, and supervising information technology programs, projects, and work involving a variety of IT specialty areas which support the information management needs of the District. • You must be a U.S. Citizen or National
• Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation
• You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable
• If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
• You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
• If selected, you will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period unless this requirement has been met previously.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must demonstrate possession of each of the following basic competencies AND at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in Federal Service, as defined below:

Basic competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.

Specialized Experience is defined as experience providing technical and analytical assistance which support the information needs of an agency or public sector organization. Examples of specialized experience include: evaluating and resolving hardware and software problems and adapting precedents or making significant departures from standardized approaches to meet user requirements; planning and designing system architecture, developing functional systems requirements, and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure; implementing policies to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility; and monitoring functionality, security and integrity of internet services.
