Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment seeks enthusiastic Ambassadors to supervise safety in animal areas, oversee husbandry training, and ensure clear communication across teams. You will help staff areas, develop team members, and assist in creating new habitats and experiences in collaboration with other departments.

The role requires SCUBA certification, CPR readiness, and the ability to work around water and outdoor conditions. Flexibility for varied shifts and physical tasks is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • At least 7 years relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years at Senior 1 level.
  • SCUBA certified and able to complete annual swimming competency review.
  • Ability to complete CPR training.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to swim and work in/around water.
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable with heights, noise, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Willing to work indoors and outdoors in all weather and shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise safety guidelines in all animal areas.
  • Oversee training of husbandry procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure daily priorities and changes are communicated to staff.
  • Staffing of animal areas through effective scheduling.
  • Develop area team members through coaching and instruction.
  • Contribute to design of new habitats, tours, and experiences.
  • Provide materials and resources for animal and area needs.
  • Recognize and reward good morale and performance.
  • Maintain excellent guest relations and satisfaction.
  • Design and implement proactive and reactive behavioral programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
