Job summary

Commerce Bank is hiring in Kansas City, MO for a supervisory role in the Wholesale Lockbox area. The position oversees workflow, coaches staff, and ensures adherence to procedures while interacting with customers and vendors. Must have remittance experience and leadership background.

The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a schedule Monday–Friday with evening hours. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, compliance, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years remittance experience required.
• 1+ years leadership experience required.
• Remittance processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department workflow and communicate decisions and priorities to the team.
• Coach and develop training plans; lead development conversations and answer day-to-day questions.
• Provide operational direction in line with policies and procedures.
• Motivate the team to meet production and quality goals; interact with customers regularly.
• Coordinate with project management on vendor software upgrades and perform required testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $55,000.00 - $74,500.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Essential Functions

• Oversee department workflow and effectively communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members
• Provide guidance to employees on departmental projects/issues, coach and develop training plans, lead development conversations and answer day-to-day questions for team members
• Provide operational direction to employees in accordance with established systems and procedures
• Motivate team members to meet production and quality goals and interact with customers regularly
• Work with project management team regarding vendor software upgrades and complete testing of software as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Strong knowledge of the reconciliation field
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to develop and coach team members with proven ability to achieve results through collaboration and teamwork
• Self-starter with strong decision-making skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 3+ years remittance experience required
• 1+ years leadership experience required
• Remittance processing experience preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $55,000 to $74,500 annually.
