Job summary

Yokohama Tire Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and safety oversight at the Groveport facility. Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control environment.
  • Solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with RF devices and a solid understanding of a WMS is preferred.
  • Two to three years experience supervising a diverse team in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises warehouse employees to ensure daily shipping and receiving activities are completed.
  • Audits outbound freight to ensure correct merchandise is being shipped.
  • Controls the equipment inspection process to ensure equipment is safe and in working condition.
  • Inspects the warehouse fire equipment to ensure all regulations are met.
  • Plans and executes projects as directed by the Regional Distribution Center Manager.
  • Trains warehouse workers in regard to warehousing activities.
  • Maintains accurate time keeping for warehousemen, and pre-authorizes overtime.
  • Plans, schedules, and supervises all dock and staging area activities.
  • Works closely with inventory control to ensure inventory accuracy by monitoring product movements, confirming location usage and auditing inventory movement.
  • Frequently audits warehouse activity to ensure OSHA safety compliance.

Job description

Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor plans, administers, and supervises the warehouse workforce to complete daily warehouse activities and to meet daily productivity standards. Ensures that a safe and healthy work environment is maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises warehouse employees to ensure daily shipping and receiving activities are completed
  • Audits outbound freight to ensure correct merchandise is being shipped

Education and Experience
  • Two to Three years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control environment
  • Solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes are required

  • Two to Three years experience supervising a diverse team in a fast paced environment
