1st shift - M-F

Major Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Program Management: Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical pharmacy programs to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care.
  • Patient Care: Provide direct pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and patient counseling. Supervise pharmacy team members. Coordinate schedules and workflows for the team. Provide daily direction to the team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Focus on team completion of assignments and being accountable for achieving short-term performance goals and priorities.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans and protocols.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including those of the DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy boards.
  • Education and Training: Educate and train pharmacy staff, residents, and students in clinical pharmacy practices and principles.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • Pharmacist license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Market-specific medication administration certification, required.
  • Patient-facing teammates are required to have three certifications: Immunization, BLS through an entity approved by Advocate Health, and non-vaccine injectable certification from the state of WI or an approved program if out of state.
Education Required:
  • Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
Experience Required:
  • Typically requires 2 years of work-related experience in pharmacy practice.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical services and strategic direction.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar.
  • Strong human resource management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands effectively.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Walking, standing, pushing medication carts, lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Use of protective equipment, manipulative skills, manual dexterity, hearing, reading small print, speaking clearly.
  • Travel required, exposure to weather, chemical hazards, and protective clothing as necessary.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
