Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy in Greensboro, NC. This role leads the daily operations of the Respiratory Services department, supervising team members who assess patients with respiratory disorders, conduct diagnostic tests, and develop therapy plans.

The supervisor will work closely with healthcare teams to manage respiratory conditions, improve lung function, and enhance patient well-being while ensuring program quality and departmental objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• 3 years of Critical Care experience with some leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of clinical staff and ensures proper patient care is provided in order to alleviate pain and improve patient' pulmonary function.
• Supervises pulmonary function tests, assesses and interprets evaluations and test results, and determines respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription.
• Evaluates effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, noting, and evaluating patient’s progress and recommending adjustments and modifications.
• Oversees the maintenance and quality testing of equipment in the respiratory services department to ensure the equipment needs of the team are met.
• Participates in the development and implementation of new respiratory programs alongside department leadership to achieve organizational objectives.
• Assists the human resources of the department to ensure talent needs are met, including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluation, and developmental opportunities.

Experience

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: Certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a RRT Licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board as a CRT or RRTBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
