Job summary

UW Health's Radiation Oncology department is seeking a Supervisor to lead imaging and treatment units, including proton therapy, at Eastpark Medical Center. You will oversee day-to-day simulation and treatment procedures and collaborate with physicians, physicists, dosimetry, nursing and schedulers to ensure patient care.

The role requires a graduate from a Radiation Therapy Technology program, 3 years of experience, and ARRT/BLS certifications; leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a School of Radiation Therapy Technology. (Required)
  • 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist. (Required)
  • ARRT certification upon hire required. (Required)
  • BLS certification upon hire required. (Required)
  • CMD or RTT preferred. (Optional)

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Monday- Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. No weekends required. Hours may vary based upon operational needs of the department.


Pay:

Pay range is based on a full-time (100%) position.

We are seeking a Supervisor, Radiation Oncology to:



  • Responsible for the leadership of imaging and treatment units of the department of Radiation Oncology at Eastpark Medical Center, including proton therapy

  • Oversees day to day operation of simulation and radiation therapy treatment procedures

  • Collaborates with physicians, physicists, dosimetry, nursing and schedulers on issues related to the management of patient care

  • Provides staff supervision and leadership for radiation therapists in simulation, photon, and proton treatment areas

Qualifications


  • Graduate from a School of Radiation Therapy Technology Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or another relevant field Preferred


Work Experience


  • 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist Required

  • Prior leadership experience in a cancer treatment center Preferred

  • Experience with proven proficiency in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and counseling Preferred


Licenses & Certifications


  • Certified as a radiation therapy technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire Required

  • CMD or RTT Preferred
