Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking a Welding Supervisor to oversee daily production floor operations in a manufacturing setting. You will assign tasks, manage workflow, and ensure timely production while enforcing safety and quality standards.

Lead a diverse welding team, mentor welders, and uphold procedures for AWS/ASME/ISO codes, welding processes, and certifications. This role demands hands-on leadership in a high-temperature, noisy environment with heavy equipment and trucks.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years welding experience with supervisory duties.
• Solid knowledge of AWS welding codes, metallurgy, blueprints.
• Ability to lead a diverse team and enforce safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Production & Planning: Assign daily tasks, manage workflow, and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished welds for compliance with blueprints, codes (AWS, ASME, ISO), and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of welding codes (AWS), metallurgy, blueprints, and NDT methods.
• Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse team to foster a culture of accountability.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding processes.
• Certifications: Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) from AWS is highly desirable.
• Work Environment: Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and regularly be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stoop, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time during working hours.
