Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist in developing unit budgets and performance targets.
  2. Execute production to achieve customer order/shipment requirements.
  3. Support new program launches in the transition of process development to actual manufacturing capability.
  4. Supervise and provide direction to reporting team leaders for all operations on responsible shift.
  5. Build and support continuity and communication between shifts.
  6. Support inventory reduction and cost improvement strategies.
  7. Maintain positive employee relations and development.
  8. Manage achievement of quality, quantity, and cost objectives.
  9. Support ongoing safety initiatives and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  10. Provide leadership to team leaders in safety, quality, 5S, warranty reduction, and delivery targets, supporting all team leader development initiatives.
  11. Ensure compliance with all quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  12. Work daily overtime and weekends when necessary to complete essential duties.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
  14. Maintain privacy of all PHI in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position supervises 5-8 non-exempt employees in accordance with policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish leadership role and promote team system.
  • Strong understanding and commitment to HS&E initiatives.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in supervision or business-related field preferred, with 2-4 years of leadership experience. Experience with lean production, continuous flow, Toyota Production Systems, and automotive manufacturing is a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Sit with intermittent walking.
  • Manual dexterity for duties such as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, and writing.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with individuals in person and by phone.
  • Visually read reports and computer screens.
  • Work a minimum of 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.
