Job Summary

Supervises production operations within an assigned area or during an assigned shift.

Job Duties

1. Supervise workers operating production machinery, assembling items, performing quality control, or packaging goods for shipment.
2. Notify maintenance or engineering departments when equipment requires maintenance or repair.
3. Monitor output against schedules or quality goals.
4. Coordinate workflow, ensure sufficient inventory levels, and appropriate staffing.
5. Provide training and guidance to new employees.
6. Complete all necessary documentation accurately.
7. Maintain cleanliness following 5S standards.
8. Adhere to Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

1. Knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices in the field.
2. Experience leading and directing other employees.
3. Authority for personnel decisions such as hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
4. Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
5. Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program and 5+ years of experience.
