Job Summary

The Production Supervisor has daily responsibility for providing direct supervision to manufacturing associates, in one or more value streams or departments, to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People performance goals. This role will have cross-functional leadership competencies and coordinate the alignment of resources and equipment in the most efficient and effective manner to achieve production goals.

Essential Functions

1. Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to associates.
2. Promote an environment of diversity, open communication and trust.
3. Mentor associates and lead the development and growth in their skills to meet future needs.
4. Imbed a culture of quality across the team by ensuring adherence to our QMS, facilitating corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to quality KPI’s and journey to 5 Sigma.
5. Manage by Gemba walks, observations and asking questions. Engage with your team members throughout the site and across functions.
6. Execute production plans in conjunction with planning, customer service, and others, applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce variation and eliminate waste.
7. Audit processes and products, including 5S, Safety, Quality, and Production, to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
8. Communicate between shifts and departments to implement best practices, resolve problems, and maintain performance.
9. Lead sustained change through production monitoring, improvement activities, and execution of Leader Standard Work.
10. Align enterprise goals through tactical execution of operating plans and updates to Value Stream maps.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline, or a combination of education (High School diploma, Associates Degree) and 5 years of experience leading teams.

Minimum Experience

3-5 years in a manufacturing environment, with proven experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts.
