A leading company in manufacturing seeks a Manager of Operations to oversee production activities and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will leverage lean manufacturing principles and demonstrate strong leadership to drive efficiency and achieve production goals. You will be responsible for orchestrating production schedules, managing personnel, and facilitating improvements across multiple manufacturing areas.
Responsible for all or a major portion of manufacturing operations within a facility. Manages production operations such as shop floor management and flow disruption management, scheduling, and personnel. Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production activities within operations. Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple manufacturing areas. Includes functions and activities that cannot be accredited to a defined Operation discipline.
Orchestrate activities within production to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives to include supervision of exempt and nonexempt associates pertaining to production, assembly, subassembly, shipping, or fabrication operations; by performing the following duties.
Job Responsibilities
·Proven skills in developing people; coaching and shaping a high-performing team.
·Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principals and/or the Gilbarco Production System.
·Ability to develop / understand and utilize standard work processes and training matrices.
·Strong leadership skills using an inclusive style of coaching.
·Notable change management experience with the ability to set demanding targets; and then motivate teams and individuals to deliver outside their comfort zones.
·Able to demonstrate an understanding of company goals and translate into action.
·Have strong personal credibility, integrity, and creativity.
·Strong analytical skills for problem solving scenarios.
·Ability to learn and master Vontier business systems.
·Able to communicate effectively within a diverse environment.
