Job summary

Madix Inc. in Texas seeks a manufacturing operations leader to set priorities, coach staff, and enforce policies to meet quality and safety standards in a dynamic plant.

You will read production schedules, plan workflows, monitor equipment, and drive improvements in efficiency while maintaining a flexible schedule and strong team collaboration.

Required BS/AS in manufacturing ops; 2 years leadership experience preferred; English required with Spanish a plus; lean process knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; BS/AS preferred.
  • 2 years leading assembly/manufacturing leadership preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving and sound decision making.
  • Experience with scheduling, planning, or production coordination.
  • English required; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains quality of staff by hiring, training, developing, and mentoring employees to ensure maximum performance.
  • Provides creative leadership and direction to employees to improve operating efficiencies, equipment performance, ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Manages workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel, and developing reporting procedures.
  • Implement existing production standards and make adjustments as necessary to produce products within specifications.
  • Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work, internal or external audits.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements.
  • Complete administration duties that include time and attendance system, holiday/vacation planning, production reports, back order reviews, past due list, and safety violations/concerns.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Working Knowledge of lean process preferred.

2. English required, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

3. Communication skills (verbal & written) .

4. Strong time management skills, deadline and detail oriented.

5. Demonstrated ability to work in a team.

6. Positive attitude and action oriented.

7. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

8. Knowledge of safety and compliance standards

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma/GED required.

2. BS or Associates degree in manufacturing operations management preferred.

3. 2 years of experience in assembly manufacturing leadership role preferred.

4. Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.

5. Problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.

6. Proficiencywith basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, systems)

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing plant environment with fluctuations in temperature.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts, as needed.
