Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Operations & Logistics leader to drive distribution center performance. You will oversee demand planning, inventory control, quality initiatives and continuous improvement, aligning with customer contracts and SLA requirements.

Your role includes planning inbound/outbound loads, cost management and client-facing problem-solving. The ideal candidate has strong analytics, Lean expertise and experience in 3PL or warehouse settings, with bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with complex demand planning activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field; APICS certification preferred.
• 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience in Lean manufacturing principles.
• Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience.
• Experience in AS9100 or ISO environment.
• Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead/direct all support functions of the distribution center, quality/continuous improvement, inventory management, data research and operational planning.
• Support Operations teams to ensure service level standards are met; adhere to all contractual obligations and ensure client compliance.
• Research and plan inbound and/or outbound loads.
• Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings to the customer; partner with site leadership in all customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts.
• Handle costs, mitigate risks and create value for the customer to achieve net revenue and operating income goals.
• Track, record and maintain quality data; monitor operations and quality processes, and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain cycle count program, meet SLA standards and provide results to customer.
• Identify and deploy cost-saving initiatives through standardized improvement processes for the facility.
• Handle all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, conducting performance reviews, etc.
