Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to supervise day-to-day operations, manage staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain medication inventory in a fast-paced pharmacy setting.

The successful candidate will have a PharmD or Bachelor's in Pharmacy, 3 years of pharmacy experience with supervisory exposure, and proven ability to work independently while leading a team to provide safe, cost-effective therapies and excellent patient service.

Overview

Supervises staff and work load in assigned, specialized shop/section of the department to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

1. Supervises day-to-day activities of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
2. Act as pharmacist-in-charge in the absence of pharmacy managers
3. Pharmacist in Charge: The pharmacist responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the operation of the pharmacy. This includes but is not limited to: managing staff, ensuring compliance to all applicable state and federal guidelines, and maintaining the inventory of all medications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy 3 years’ experience as a Pharmacist.
• Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy with 3 years of health care system experience (of which 1 must be pharmacy supervisory experience), or the equivalent required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and possess the ability to set priorities and make critical decision.
• Effective problem solving, and change management abilities desired.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated interpersonal and team skills essential.

Required Licensure/Certifications

- Current unrestricted NH Pharmacist licensure.
