Job summary

Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a Payroll/HR administrative professional to support payroll processing for Huntsville Hospital and related facilities. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely compensation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, HR, or related field and a minimum of two years in HR or payroll processing, with Kronos or Lawson experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, HR, or related field from an accredited school.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in HR and/or payroll processing.
• Experience with Kronos or Lawson preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work with MS Office and perform routine computations.

Overview

Serves as a member of the Financial Services team by providing information and service to employees and managers. Assists the Mgr Payroll with the management and administration of Huntsville Hospital’s payroll processing and payroll staff.

Qualifications

Education required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited school or university

Experience: Require a minimum of two (2) years experience in Human Resources and/or payroll processing. Prior experience in Kronos or Lawson desired.

Additional skills/abilities:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers regarding sensitive and often complicated issues
• Oral presentation skills required
• Must be able to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of work flow
• Must be proficient in routine mathematical computations and analyses
• The ability to read, comprehend and prepare moderately complex written material, such as government regulations or policies and procedures is required
• Must be able to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment
• Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet software and e-mail
