Job summary

Huntsville Hospital (also serving Madison Hospital and the Women & Children facility) seeks a registered nurse to identify patient needs, plan and delegate care, and evaluate outcomes on a shift-by-shift basis. The role is grounded in delivering evidence-based nursing care in a large nonprofit health system recognized for clinical excellence.

Candidates must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing with Alabama or multi-state licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
• New graduates welcome; experience preferred.
• BLS required before the end of orientation; ACLS within one year of hire.

• Identify patient needs and priorities for care through assessment.
• Plan and delegate care based on patient needs.
• Evaluate patient response and progress toward expected outcomes.
• Be accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

Job description
