Overview
Supervisor, Patient Transportation at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.
SHIFT / HOURS: Monday - Friday / 2pm - 11pm (rotating weekends as needed)
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the patient transportation staff and assist in ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Make visits to ancillary departments and nursing units on a frequent basis to ensure dispatchers and patient escorts are performing to standards, address concerns promptly, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

- Actively participates in ongoing training and projects; maintains knowledge of Department Emergency and Bridge Continuity Plans.

- Equipment Usage and Safety Preparedness: Ensure safety readiness, CPR/AED training, fire drills, etc.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Business, Health Sciences, Hospitality, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Certification: None required; Preferred Certifications: HeartSaver with AED and CPR.
- Experience: Four years of experience in healthcare, project management, or hospitality, including two years of lead/supervisory experience.
- Preferred Experience: With the preferred degree, three years of experience in healthcare, project management, or hospitality, including two years of lead/supervisory experience. Completion of LEADing Self Accelerate may substitute for one year of supervisory/management experience.
- Other: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required; may involve security and integrity responsibilities of critical infrastructure.
