+ We have several openings for a full-time SUPERVISOR, PATIENT DINING (DIETARY AIDE) position.

+ Location: Cleveland Clinic - 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195. Note: online applications accepted only.

+ Schedule: Full-Time; Morning or Evenings and every other weekend. Some holidays. Open availability from 7am-7pm (would work a set schedule within this timeframe).

+ Requirement: Supervisor experience required. Patient dining, food service, or hospitality experience preferred.

+ Pay Range: $18.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Services Leads are responsible for coordinating patient meal service and addressing special requests and needs for the Patient Dining Program. They ensure that Patient Dining Associates are adequately trained and that units are properly staffed to provide excellent service. They play a vital role in creating a culture of comfort and compassion in the healthcare environment, taking care of patients’ special requests and nutritional needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee systems and processes to meet the strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program.
2. Supervise Patient Dining Associates, ensuring they help patients make menu selections, assemble, and deliver/pick-up meal trays.
3. Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu options for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, religious preferences, or additional inquiries.
4. Interact with nursing staff and evaluate daily patient meal selections, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes.
5. Respond promptly to patients' needs, communicate issues to relevant personnel following department procedures.
6. Assist dietitians by monitoring patients on special diets, such as liquid diets or calorie-specific plans.
7. Adhere to confidentiality and patient rights policies in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
8. Comply with regulatory standards including federal, state, and JCAHO requirements.
9. Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety during meal assembly and distribution.
10. Maintain compliance with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
11. Complete all required reports as per Morrison Healthcare policies.
12. Conduct daily team meetings following Morrison’s GR8 Start Meeting guidelines.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and communicate safety rules, manuals, and operational instructions.
• Proficiency in operating hospital’s ADT system and other computer-based systems managing patient care records.
• Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities.
