Job description

Dining Services Supervisor (Finance)

Responsible for providing a quality dining experience by greeting and seating residents and guests, overseeing dining services staff in the absence of the Manager, and maintaining a pleasant and clean dining environment. May supervise other staff positions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting the Manager with daily supervision of dining services associates.
  2. Ensuring smooth and timely opening and closing of the dining room.
  3. Ensuring room service orders are delivered timely and properly.
  4. Maintaining meals that are palatable and visually appealing.
  5. Inspecting work to ensure completion and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  6. Planning daily menus in accordance with company standards.
  7. Assisting in staffing coverage and scheduling within budget guidelines.
  8. Supporting service staff during mealtime and assisting with resident billing.
  9. Providing supervision during special events and in the absence of the Manager.
  10. Hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating staff in consultation with the Director, Dining Services.
  11. Fostering good inter-departmental relationships to ensure food service meets residents' needs.

Salary range: $16.14 - $20.68 per hour, based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for team-based bonus opportunities. Benefits eligibility varies by employment status.
