About the Role
As a Store Manager, you'll be responsible for the total holistic omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial standards according to the store format, location, and global & regional strategies. You will lead the full store team to excel, creating an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You will analyze sales data, follow up on performance, and develop plans to optimize results and profits.
A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same. A typical day includes the following responsibilities:
- Customer Sales & Profit
- Manage the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial presentation according to guidelines and strategies.
- Represent the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions.
- Set, analyze, and follow up on sales and budget goals; create plans to optimize results.
- Ensure personal and team customer service, guiding customers and actively promoting our products and initiatives.
- Manage scheduling in line with sales budgets and activities.
- Oversee routines in fitting rooms and checkout, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Identify commercial opportunities, maintain competitor awareness, and manage store maintenance efficiently.
Fashion & Trend Awareness- Stay updated on fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers.
- Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions.
- Understand the local area, customers, and fashion trends to tailor store offerings.
Team & Development- Manage talent recruitment, onboarding, upskilling, and development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning.
- Share knowledge and foster collaboration with the area and store leadership teams.
- Plan and schedule team activities, communicate regularly, and ensure procedures and legal requirements are followed.
Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store environment.
- Ensure high-quality visual presentation and garment care.
- Manage stock levels, store routines, and in-store services/tools.
- Maintain accurate price signage and store information.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills, responsible and proactive.
- Effective communicator, confident in coaching and development.
- Relevant experience in retail management and operations.
- Ability to collaborate and work with diverse teams.
