Kids' Voice of Indiana in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a part-time Supervised Parenting Time Program Supervisor to oversee court‑ordered visits, document observations, and ensure a safe, neutral environment.

You will work weekday evenings and Saturday daytime, log hours, handle payments, and maintain strict confidentiality while collaborating with the team.

This onsite role requires strong interpersonal skills, calm decision‑making, and adherence to program policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise court‑ordered parenting time by observing and documenting all interactions between the noncustodial parent and child(ren).
• Intervene appropriately when verbal or physical behavior becomes unsafe or inappropriate.
• Complete clear, accurate, grammatically correct observation reports for each visit and submit all reports before leaving the office at the end of each shift.
• Collect payments for SCPT services and record them accurately.
• Follow all SCPT policies and procedures, including documenting concerns or incidents according to program guidelines.
• Maintain neutrality, professionalism, and respect in all interactions with clients.
• Support a clean and safe environment by following required sanitizing and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with SCPT teammates to ensure smooth program operations and high‑quality service delivery.
• Accurately record all hours worked on the designated timesheet.
• Arrange for a qualified substitute when unable to work a scheduled shift.
• Provide advance notice to the Program Director regarding vacation or extended unavailability.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with Kids’ Voice policies.
• Immediately contact the Indiana Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 1‑800‑800‑5556 if abuse or neglect is suspected.

Job Title: Supervised Parenting Time Program Supervisor

Reports To: Director of Supervised Parenting Time Program

What You’ll Do

The Safe Parenting Time (SPT) Program provides supervised parenting time services to ensure safe, neutral, and meaningful interactions between children and their noncustodial parents. The Parenting Time Supervisor plays an essential role in maintaining a secure environment, supporting healthy parent–child interactions, and documenting all observations with accuracy and professionalism. This part‑time position includes weekday evenings and Saturday morning/afternoon shifts, with most supervisors working approximately four to twelve hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities

What You Bring

• High school diploma, eligibility to work in the United States, and the ability to pass a criminal background check free of felonies or child abuse/neglect issues.
• Availability to work weekday evening and Saturday daytime shifts as assigned.
• Ability to make sound, timely decisions and remain calm during challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse personalities in a tactful and respectful manner.
• Ability to sit for up to three hours while typing consistently accurate, detailed observation notes.
• Comfort using a computer or smartphone to access cloud‑based applications required for documentation and internal communication.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience working with families, children, or human services programs.
• Prior work in supervised visitation, child welfare, family services, or related programs.
• Familiarity with trauma‑informed practices or family dynamics such as conflict, neglect, or domestic violence.
• Experience using electronic documentation systems or structured reporting tools.

Tech Know-How

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, smartphones, and cloud‑based platforms.
• Ability to learn and navigate program‑specific software used for visit documentation and payment recording.

Physical Requirements

This onsite position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while typing detailed observations, as well as regular use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, and printers. Supervisors must be able to communicate clearly, observe interactions continuously, and occasionally lift or carry materials used during visits. Evening and weekend hours are required based on program needs.
