Summary
The Supervisor, Operations at DSV Road Transport will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation services. You will be responsible for supervising and overseeing a team of logistics coordinators, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of transportation logistics.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses to queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their specific needs and requirements.
- Address customer concerns and issues promptly, striving for swift resolutions.
- Coordinate the dispatch of loads to owner-operator carriers, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Monitor load statuses and update customers and carriers accordingly.
- Resolve any dispatch-related issues or delays promptly and effectively.
- Lead and supervise a team of dispatchers and customer service representatives.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their performance and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline dispatch and customer service processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Educational Background / Work Experience / Qualifications
3+ years of Dispatch / Logistics Coordinator experience in the transportation / freight brokerage / logistics industry.
Strong knowledge of all products including supply chain solutions, freight brokerage and contract logistics.
Excellent knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, Federal, and State regulations.
Previous experience in a managerial position
Language Skills
- Business fluent in English
- Preferably good command of local language
- Bi-lingual a plus
Computer Literacy
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)
Physical And/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Hours and Environment
Normal working hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.
