Summary

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. It is part of a new development featuring 17 ski lifts, around 1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with approximately 1,350 rooms, about 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" globally.

The hotel offers 436 luxury accommodations, including 359 guest rooms, 55 residences, and 22 suites, with roughly 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space. Amenities include a lobby-level three-meal restaurant and bar, a signature bar, pool and après-ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool, three whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on Spa & Retail Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our elegant spa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a guest-focused environment and is dedicated to service excellence, team leadership, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with Spa Management to ensure smooth daily operations.
  2. Oversee and support all spa and retail team members, understanding each role thoroughly.
  3. Maintain high standards of service to foster exceptional guest experiences.
  4. Manage scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
  5. Enforce safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols per health regulations.
  6. Support staff development through coaching, feedback, and recognition.
  7. Address team concerns and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
  8. Assist in inventory management, merchandising, and retail sales strategies.

Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a spa, wellness, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and inspire a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in administrative systems related to scheduling and payroll (experience with specific software is a plus).
  • Passion for wellness, customer service, and team development.
  • Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work days, early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Current TAM card certification.
  • Current alcohol server certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state regulations.
  • Other relevant certifications as required.
