Role Description

The Supervisor of Designers is a full-time, on-site role based in Annapolis, MD, overseeing a team of designers responsible for developing technical designs, drawings, and plans to support utility projects and operations. This role manages daily workflow, assigns projects, and ensures design outputs meet quality, safety, regulatory, and schedule requirements. The supervisor collaborates closely with engineering, project management, field operations, and other stakeholders to clarify project scopes, resolve design issues, and support efficient implementation. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and promoting best practices and continuous improvement in design standards and tools. The role also involves monitoring resource utilization, supporting budget and schedule planning, and contributing to process enhancements that improve consistency and reliability of design deliverables.
