Job Summary
The Supervisor, MVS Operations manages two staff positions and Veterans Affairs Work‑Study students, overseeing financial reconciliation, student account management, audits, and customer service for student veterans.
Responsibilities
- Process Payments from Veterans Affairs: Review EDI payments, advise deposit locations, resolve discrepancies, submit check requests, reconcile accounts monthly and at term end.
- Audit: Gather and submit audit items (VA and internal) and prepare the annual VA catalog renewal.
- Supervise Student Employees: Hire, train, supervise and approve time for VA work‑study students and two full‑time staff members.
- Manage End‑of‑Term & Annual Requirements: Run reports, determine grade changes, terminate students, reduce hours and funds per VA regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to walk‑ins, callers and via email.
- Waivers & Military Resource Center: Track waiver data, certifications and event attendance.
- Presentations & Events: Present at orientation and VA benefits sessions; assist in planning and attending office and departmental events.
- Other Duties: Perform duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience managing financial accounts with knowledge of VA regulations and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field and prior supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with Banner preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge: General accounting principles; applicable VA regulations and policies; proficiency in Microsoft Office and related databases.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; strong organizational, prioritization, and time‐management skills; attention to detail; problem‐resolution and independent decision‐making; effective management and public‐speaking techniques.
- Abilities: Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment; work independently while collaborating; analyze information, resolve problems, make appropriate decisions; maintain accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay Band: B10
Salary: $25.24 – $27.98 per hour (commensurate with qualifications)
Benefits may include health, dental, life insurance, retirement plan, vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Tuition assistance available after 6 months of employment.
