Serve as principal advisor and point of contact to customers, vendors, and other IT areas of support for student systems and other applications as assigned. As a member of the Business Systems Analyst team, the incumbent will work closely with other analysts to learn Application Support procedures, and assist with the definition, development of test plans, and testing of system updates. Assists in coordinating software releases and upgrades. Conducts research of technical issues, development of specifications for modifications, enhancements, and database interventions. Incumbent will apply professional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills when writing and communicating with customers, other staff members, and vendors.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 2 years of experience in using a system running enterprise-wide business, research, and/or academic applications and providing technical expertise.
SQL or SQL Plus experience.
Experience supporting and implementing enterprise software applications such as Banner, SLATE, or D2L to production is preferred.
Technical understanding of relational databases and knowledge in how to read/write SQL Selects
Experience assisting users with troubleshooting information system applications
Knowledge of analysis, design techniques, documentation needs and techniques and data mapping techniques
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet competing deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, interpret and respond to user problems and conduct and evaluate systems testing
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B10
Salary: Minimum: $52,500.00/annually- Midpoint: $61,000.00/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
