Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare’s Columbus Midtown location seeks a Supervisor Maintenance/Engineer to lead the Engineering department in hospital facilities and plant equipment management. The role focuses on ensuring reliable operations and adherence to maintenance programs within a complex healthcare setting.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years of hospital maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, a high school diploma or GED, and applicable technical training or military

• Technical school training or apprenticeship or military training in building maintenance preferred.
• 5 years of hospital maintenance experience; 2 years in a supervisory/lead role required.
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with establishing and implementing goals, policies, procedures, schedules and budgets for the Engineering department.
• As a work leader, oversee all facets of the operation of the Engineering department.
• Perform maintenance and plant equipment duties to support the full range of department responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Assist with establishing and implementing goals, policies, procedures, schedules, priorities and development of departmental budget. As a work leader, oversee all facets of the operation of the Engineering department. Perform all functions pertaining to maintenance and plant equipment to adequately support and efficiently operate the full range of department duties.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Technical School training or apprenticeship program or military training in building maintenance, heating and air conditioning, electrical or plumbing Preferred

Work Experience

• 5 years of hospital maintenance experience with two (2) year in a supervisory or lead worker position Required
• Experience in a healthcare environment Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Valid state issued driver's license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500. Upon Hire Required
