Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Inc. in Columbus, GA seeks an experienced maintenance professional to lead the Engineering department’s operations. You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and preventive maintenance to support hospital services and patient safety.

The role requires at least five years in hospital maintenance with two years in a leadership position, plus a valid driver’s license. Healthcare facility experience is preferred, and the team relies on your leadership to maintain reliable building

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical school training, apprenticeship or military training in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical or plumbing preferred.
Five years hospital maintenance experience with at least two years in a supervisory/lead role required.
Healthcare environment experience preferred.
Valid in-state driver’s license and adherence to vehicle safety program.

Responsibilities

Assist with establishing and implementing goals, policies, procedures, schedules and departmental budget development.
As a work leader, oversee all facets of the Engineering department operation.
Perform maintenance and plant equipment functions to support and operate the full range of department duties.
