Job summary

Providence Seward Medical Center seeks an experienced RN-Team Advisor to direct and supervise the 24-hour care of assigned elders within our elder-directed care model.

You will implement and evaluate the comprehensive plan of care, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor CNAs, RNs and LPNs to foster teamwork and compassionate, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Alaska RN License is required at hire.
• Within 30 days: BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in gerontological nursing is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise 24-hour care for assigned elders.
• Implement and evaluate the comprehensive plan of care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable laws and standards.
• Facilitate communication of elder needs to the clinical support team.
• Supervise CNAs, RNs and LPNs within 24-hour teams.
• Foster professional growth and teamwork in an elder-directed care setting.

Job description

The RN-Team Advisor directs and supervises the 24-hour care of assigned elders to deliver whole-person care in an innovative elder-directed care model. Responsible for the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the elder's comprehensive plan of care. Uses established work systems and processes to facilitate quality of care and quality of life while ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards of practice. Facilitates effective communication of elder needs and issues to the clinical support team. Supervises Certified Nursing Assistants, RNs and LPNs within 24-hour teams for the assigned group of elders. Fosters positive change, professional/program growth and teamwork in an innovative care setting designed to be transformational in the lives of elders and those who care for them.

Hours:

Full Time(36 or 40 hours weekly)

Shift:

Night

Schedule:

4x 10 hour shifts per week or 3x 12 hour shifts per week

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year Clinical nursing.
• In gerontological nursing is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing
• 1 year Clinical supervisory, management or resource.
• In long-term care.
