Job description

Level II Trauma Center

Hiring Bonus and Relocation Assistance May Be Available

Not every Radiology leadership role is about fixing problems. Some are about helping good people become even better.

At PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA, an experienced Radiology team is looking for a leader who understands that trust is built through consistency, transparency, and follow-through.

This isn't a situation where a department needs rescuing.

It's a chance to guide a skilled team, strengthen relationships, support caregivers, and help ensure imaging remains a trusted clinical partner throughout the hospital.

As the Radiology Supervisor, you'll oversee approximately 45 caregivers, including radiologic technologists and students, developing the next generation of imaging professionals. You'll partner closely with Lead Technologists, physicians, fellow imaging leaders, and frontline caregivers to support daily operations, professional development, quality initiatives, and departmental success.

At PeaceHealth, we believe exceptional patient care starts with exceptional caregiver support. As a Person-First, values-driven, and highly trusted healthcare organization, we are committed to caring for our caregivers with the same respect, compassion, and attention we provide our patients.

That commitment extends beyond culture.

What You'll Gain
  • Compensation range of $122,096.00-$183,123.20 annually, DOE
  • Hiring Bonus and Relocation Assistance may be available
  • Comprehensive low-cost medical, dental and vision coverage
  • Generous paid time off
  • 403(b) retirement plan with employer contributions and matching
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance
  • Tuition assistance and continuing education support
  • Expanded mental health and wellness resources
  • Employee assistance and caregiver wellbeing programs designed to support physical, emotional, financial, social, and spiritual health
  • The opportunity to lead within a respected Level II Trauma Center where imaging has a direct impact on critical patient care decisions
Why You'll Love This Role
  • Lead a highly experienced Radiology team that values collaboration and professional expertise.
  • Influence caregiver engagement, communication, and department success in a visible leadership role.
  • Support and mentor the next generation of technologists through involvement with radiography students.
  • Lead Radiology services within a Level II Trauma Center where imaging plays a critical role in emergency, inpatient, surgical, and diagnostic care.
  • Partner with experienced imaging professionals across multiple modalities in a clinically complex hospital environment.
  • Influence patient care beyond the department through collaboration with physicians, nursing leaders, trauma services, and hospital leadership.
  • Build trust and culture while supporting a team that already delivers strong clinical outcomes.

Why You'll Love Living Here

Vancouver offers the balance many healthcare leaders spend years searching for.

You can build a meaningful career at a regional medical center while enjoying a lifestyle that includes easy access to the outdoors and strong neighborhoods. And unlike Oregon just across the river, Washington residents pay no state income tax. But Portland's dining, arts, and entertainment options are minutes away, while Southwest Washington offers a little more breathing room at the end of the day.

It's a place where work stays important, but life doesn't take a back seat.

What You'll Bring
  • Associate of Science in Radiology Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • ARRT-R
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist licensure through DOH
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in area of licensure required
  • Previous leadership training, experience with hospital radiology operations, and experience leading in a union environment is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support
  • Strong administrative, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions: This is primarily a sedentary leadership role that combines office-based administrative responsibilities with regular presence in a hospital environment. The position requires frequent computer use, data analysis, documentation review, and communication with caregivers, physicians, students, and interdisciplinary teams. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of light objects (up to 10 pounds) may be required. The role also requires close visual attention for computer work, reviewing reports and data, and other detailed administrative tasks.
