Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Supervisor III, Accounting G&P in Houston to lead a team of professional accountants. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support compliance with policies while translating data into meaningful insights for management.

You’ll provide technical guidance, oversee audits, and drive process improvements across general ledger and budgeting functions, shaping the capability of the accounting organization in a dynamic energy

The Supervisor III, Accounting G&P role provides day‑to‑day leadership and technical oversight for a specialized accounting function. This role supervises a team of professional accountants and support staff, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and compliance with established policies. The position plays a key role intranslating financial data into insights that support business decisions while continuously improving processes and developing team capability.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring – Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 6 or more years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • Advanced proficiency with standard office software and financial reporting systems
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
  • CPA or other relevant professional certification
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory reviews
  • Experience planning and managing resources or supervising teams
  • Advanced experience with financial reporting tools, databases, or business intelligence platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement controls, and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, budgeting, reporting, and accounting principles
  • Experience analyzing complex financial data and translating results into clear insights
Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $140,400 – $171,600.

At Phillips 66, we are committed to pay transparency and competitive, equitable compensation. Each role is assigned a salary grade with a defined pay range, benchmarked against industry peers. Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
