This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by ensuring that all procurements comply with required Federal and State statutes and regulations, State Administrative Manual (SAM) policies, State Contracting Manual (SCM), Government Codes, Public Contract Codes (PCC), Management Memos, Department of General Services (DGS) accreditation and exemption letters, and departmental policies and procedures.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Supervisor II, Chief of the Purchasing & Solicitations Section, and provides expert advice and consultation on complex and sensitive procurement matters. Responsibilities include reviewing and/or approving Departmental IT and non‑IT procurements for goods and services.
Salaries for the classification range from $7,172.00 to $8,910.00. The salary information listed may not reflect recent salary increases or changes in the fiscal year. The position is subject to the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025, resulting in a 3% monthly base pay reduction in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027.
