Job summary

The House Supervisor at Matthews Medical Center, part of Novant Health, acts as the in-house administrative representative and clinical leader across the hospital.

Qualified RNs with acute care experience, five years' nursing experience, and NC licensure are preferred; ED or CCU exposure is a plus in this role.

What We Offer

The House Supervisor will serve as the in-house administrative representative and resource person for patients, staff, physicians, and visitors at Matthews Medical Center. This role provides clinical and administrative leadership across the hospital, supporting patient care, staff needs, and daily operations while collaborating with leaders and care teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with acute care experience required
• At least 2 years of nursing leadership experience preferred
• Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred
• Critical Care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to provide leadership and support across multiple departments
• Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, remarkable patient care

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN/BA/BS Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years previous nursing experience, required. Previous management experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to modify care and interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care according to patient’s age, health and developmental status. Has demonstrated sound and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, good interpersonal skills, and good intra and interdepartmental relationships.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Clemmons Medical Center and Kernersville Medical Center require critical care or ED experience.
