Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical units at the Danbury, NC site. This full-time role schedules 40 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and focuses on clinical operations, staff performance, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a 4 year nursing degree, current RN licensure, and leadership experience; graduate degree and board certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; graduate degree preferred.
• 2 years leadership experience preferred; 3 years RN acute care experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required; facility-specific interventions training within 3 months of hire required; board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical units operations and staff performance.
• Ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and patient safety across units.

Nurse Manager - Emergency Department & Medical/Surgical Services

The Nurse Manager provides leadership for the Emergency Department and Medical/Surgical units, overseeing clinical operations, staff performance, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality patient care while supporting operational and financial goals.

What We're Looking For

Education: 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Required. Graduate Degree, Preferred.

Experience: 2 years demonstrated leadership experience, Preferred. 3 years clinical RN experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, Required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, Required. Board certification in area of practice, Preferred.
