Job summary

FCS Services is seeking an experienced, full-time Supervisor for the Newark, DE location, responsible for leading janitorial staff and maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the second shift.

The role requires prior supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to motivate and develop a team on Monday–Thursday evenings with Friday coverage. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced, full-time Supervisor to join our team at our Newark, DE location. This is a leadership role responsible for supervising janitorial staff and maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards of our clients' premises during the second shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Train, supervise, and evaluate janitorial staff assigned to the site, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective performance.

Maintain staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and areas of responsibility.

Implement quality control measures and conduct regular site inspections to assess cleanliness and address any issues promptly.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies; conduct safety training sessions and address any safety concerns promptly.

Prepare regular reports on site performance, including cleaning schedules, staffing levels, quality metrics, and client feedback.

Perform routine floor maintenance, including cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing of various flooring surfaces.

Assess floor conditions and execute restoration processes to remove stains, scratches, and other imperfections.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules and ensure seamless execution of services.

Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.

Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.

Address employee and client concerns promptly and communicate any operational issues to management.

Ensure all assigned areas are properly serviced and meet company and client quality standards.

Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience in janitorial or facilities management preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate, lead, and develop a team.

Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products, including floor care.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Proficient in basic computer applications, including email and Microsoft Office.

Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.

Ability to work a second-shift schedule, including the required Friday schedule.

Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
