Job summary

FCS Services is seeking a dependable General Cleaner for the Florence facility in Burlington, NJ. This full-time, third-shift role runs Sunday to Thursday, 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM, performing cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, sanitary environment throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior janitorial experience is preferred but not required, and the position requires adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, break rooms, restrooms, production areas and other spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain floors
• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners
• Disinfect restrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors and fixtures
• Dust and wipe surfaces and furniture
• Replenish restroom supplies
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas and high-traffic areas
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to procedures
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisor
• Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize offices, break rooms, restrooms, production areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, and fixtures.
• Dust and wipe down furniture, equipment, windowsills, and other surfaces.
• Replenish restroom supplies, soap dispensers, paper towels, and other consumables.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas and high-traffic locations.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment according to company procedures.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required.
