Job summary

FCS Services is hiring a Floor Technician for the Orlando International Airport. This full-time role covers the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM) with a pay rate of $17.43 per hour.

You will buff, strip, wax, polish, and restore various flooring types while maintaining safety standards. The position requires physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Able to be on your feet and physically active throughout your shift.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in operating floor care equipment and knowledge of appropriate cleaning techniques and chemicals preferred.
• Previous experience in floor care or janitorial services preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing of flooring surfaces including hardwood, tile, vinyl, and carpet using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Assess the condition of floors and execute restoration processes to remove stains, scratches, and other imperfections.
• Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, extractors, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to company standards and client specifications, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment necessary for floor care operations.
• Interact professionally with clients and respond to inquiries or requests, demonstrating a commitment to excellent service.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and ensure seamless execution of floor care services.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times .
