Job summary

HonorHealth in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the facilities engineering team and ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems. You will oversee maintenance programs and coordinate with hospital leaders on facility improvements.

This role requires strong leadership and at least 10 years in building maintenance and engineering, with a trade school certification or military engineering background.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the engineering team, including Building Engineers I–IV.
• Develop, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Manage departmental resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate and support regulatory and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Collaborate with healthcare department leaders and PDC partners to plan and execute facility improvements.
• Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, CMS, FGI, ASHRAE).
• Maintain compliance with PCRA, ICRA, and ILSM requirements, including documentation and implementation.
• Adjust work schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
• Staff Development & Compliance: Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for engineering staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards.

Education
