Job summary

Department Overview

The work performed by the Corporate Security Department (CSD) is key to the company's success in protecting employees, the contract workforce, the public, and the company's physical assets, including several which are critical to the nation's power grid infrastructure. CSD provides a variety of opportunities, including involvement in developing, communicating and implementing processes and tools relating to investigations, formal communications with company officers, personnel development, and coordination of the company's physical security efforts. Importance is placed on developing close partnerships with other Functional Organizations and law enforcement, to ensure quick response and appropriate communication of issues and mitigation plans.

The Personal Security Advisor works closely with Corporate Security Management to provide security for the CEO and Senior Executive Officers as needed. The Personal Security Advisor will also work closely with other Corporate Security personnel during special events to help provide physical security and to conduct advance security assessments of future venues.

Position Summary

The Executive Protection Supervisor provides frontline leadership and operational oversight for the Executive Protection (EP) Program. This position is a working supervisor role thatremainsactively engaged in protective operations while providing guidance, coaching, scheduling support, performance management, and operational coordination for EP personnel.

The Supervisor serves as a force multiplier for the Executive Protection Manager by driving execution of operational priorities,maintainingprogram standards, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and fostering professional development across the team. This positionoperatesas a field leader during executive movements, events, residential security operations, travel support, and crisis response activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the operational supervisor for a team of Personal Security Advisors, providing leadership and direction during executive protection assignments,special events, travel operations, and other protective activities supporting the CEO anddesignatedsenior leaders.

• Lead the day-to-day execution of protective operations across workplace, residential, event, and travel environments, ensuring services are conducted safely, discreetly, professionally, and with minimal disruption to the executive, family members, and business activities.

• Translate strategic guidance from Executive Protection leadership into effective field execution whilemaintainingthe flexibility to respond to changing threats, short-notice movements, emergencies, and evolving operational requirements.

• Serve as a senior operational resource and Officer-in-Charge when circumstances require, providing real-time leadership, decision-making, incident coordination, and emergency response in support of mission continuity.

• Ensure protective operations are executedin accordance withIndependent Security Studies, Executive Protection policies and procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, leadership directives, confidentiality requirements, and thePG&EEP code of conduct.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of workplace, residential, travel, event, and family security requirements, and applyappropriate securitymeasures based on the operating environment, threat conditions, and needs of theprotectee.

• Participate in the planning and coordination of business and personal travel involving executives and family members, providing security recommendations,identifyingoperational requirements, and coordinatingappropriate riskmitigations.

• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and operational guidance to EP personnel. Conduct quarterly performance check-ins, employee development discussions, annual performance assessments, and other required performance documentation.

• Maintain andvalidatepersonnel qualifications and training records, including CPR and First Aid,medical training, firearms qualifications, defensive tactics, drivingproficiency, andrequiredtechnology competencies.

• Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, collaboration, mutual respect, continuous improvement, adherence to Executive Protection program standardsand PG&EPurpose, Virtues and Stands.

• Monitor individual and team readiness,identifyperformance or training gaps, and implementappropriate coaching, development, or corrective measures in coordination with Executive Protection leadership.

• Oversee administrative and operational readiness, including employee timekeeping and timecard approvals, schedule alignment, staffing coverage, expense review, operational expenditures, duty-of-care documentation, and other assigned administrative requirements.

• Ensure the quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Daily Activity Reports, timekeeping records, operational documentation, and all other required program reporting.

• Monitor operational metrics and key performance indicators to evaluate readiness, coverage, reporting compliance, resourceutilization, and overall program performance.

• Communicate operational direction and expectations to frontline personnel while providingtimelyfield feedback, emerging concerns, resource needs, and recommended improvements to Executive Protection leadership.

• Work closely with the Executive Protection Manager, Security Business Operations Specialist, Scheduling Coordinator, and other Corporate Security stakeholders to align staffing, resources, administrative support, and operational priorities.

• Assistwith the planning and execution ofspecial events, executive engagements, travel assignments, and other complex or high-visibility protective operations.

• Support the development and implementation of program improvements,new technologies, emerging initiatives, updated procedures, and operational readiness standards.

• Present operational updates, field status, readiness assessments, program metrics, emerging issues, and resource requirements during leadership reviews, operational meetings, Monthly Operating Reviews, and other executive-level discussions asappropriate.

• Represent the Executive Protection Program in a professional, credible, and solutions-oriented manner when engaging with executives, family members, internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors, and law enforcement agencies.

• Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as directed by the Executive Protection leadershipteam.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience

• 10 years of relevant experience in physical security or law enforcement

• Current CA Driver's License

• Current U.S. Passport

• Authority to carry a concealed weapon in accordance with HR 218/CCW

• Experience coordinating complex security or protective operations

• Must be able to qualify for NERC/CIP clearance

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push/pull, and position equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis throughout the work shift, using safe lifting practices

• Physically capable of providing close protection and executing emergency evacuation/extraction procedures to move a principal to safety under urgent conditions; requires the ability to lift/carry more than 50 pounds as operationally necessary

• Must successfully complete and maintain qualifications in required physical and cognitive training programs, which may be strenuous and include scenario-based instruction, stress exposure exercises, performance evaluations, and periodic reassessment to ensure operational readiness

Desired:

• Corporate, private family office or military executive protection experience

• Experience working within a corporate Executive Protection program

• Experience protecting senior executives within publicly traded corporations

• Knowledge of Executive Protection Governance, Oversight, and operational standards

• BA/BS degree in Criminology, Police Science, Criminal Justice Administration

• Executive Protection Accreditation from a local, state, or national school

Compensation

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity,specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be between the minimum and midpoint listed below. Thefinal decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above.This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area Min: $122,000.00

Bay Area Mid: $158,000.00

Bay Area Max: $194,000.00
