Position Overview

Company Confidential maintains a discreet, around-the-clock protective program safeguarding principals, their families, estates, and associated assets. We are seeking a seasoned Executive Protection Specialist to deliver comprehensive close protection through proactive and reactive security methodology, both at the principals' estates and during domestic and international travel.

Beyond direct protective duties, the Executive Protection Specialist supports the leadership team with personnel training, resource coordination, program management, and field operations planning and oversight. The role leads protective details for special events and travel operations - local, domestic (CONUS), and international (OCONUS) - and demands a disciplined, highly capable professional with proven judgment, initiative, and the composure to operate effectively in demanding and unfamiliar environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide close protection for principals, family members, estates, and associated properties, including offices, public events, and travel operations


• Plan and lead advances and protective details for designated events and travel operations, both domestic and international


• Conduct risk assessments, develop comprehensive security and operations plans, and produce detailed advance reports


• Independently coordinate the logistical movement of principals based on calendar information and situational knowledge of events


• Conduct daily open-source information gathering and disseminate relevant intelligence in support of operations


• Render emergency medical aid - including CPR, AED, and tourniquet application - until EMS assumes care


• Provide secure transportation, including the operation of company vehicles for principals


• Provide training and mentorship to junior protective personnel


• Make recommendations to leadership regarding security technologies, capabilities, and program improvements


• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion at all times

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent


• A minimum of five years of personal protection experience


• Demonstrated command of executive protection fundamentals, including conducting advances and risk assessments, authoring detailed advance reports, leading security details, executing principal arrivals and departures, maintaining strong situational awareness, performing accurate open-source intelligence collection and dissemination, and participating in international operations


• Valid U.S. Passport


• Active California Guard Card and California Exposed Firearm Permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement


• Active California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license


• Valid California driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record


• Current CPR/AED certification


• Advanced training in defensive tactics and the lawful application of both lethal and less-lethal options


• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce high-quality intelligence reports and convey complex security concepts to family members and staff


• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and macOS operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite


• Ability to apply working knowledge of world geography, cultures, and religions to practical operational practice


• Willingness and ability to work in proximity to animals

Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring availability across all shifts and all days, including weekends and holidays. On-call status, irregular hours, and the willingness to travel for extended periods on short notice are required as operational needs dictate.

Conditions of Employment

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation, motor vehicle record check, drug screening, and a job-related physical performance evaluation. Drug screenings and physical performance evaluations are also conducted on a recurring basis throughout employment. A mental health evaluation may be required as warranted. The role demands that candidates maintain peak physical condition and the capability to perform essential protective functions under duress - including rapid movement over short distances, the sustained exertion of upper-body and core strength in close quarters, and decisive physical intervention during emergencies - as well as the ability to operate in austere travel environments, including extremes of altitude, temperature, and humidity.

The hourly pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00. Company Confidential also offers a comprehensive benefit package
