Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to oversee daily environmental services operations within the hospital. You will supervise staff, ensure cleanliness standards, and enforce infection control protocols in line with regulatory requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of leadership experience preferred or a related 2-year environmental services background, plus prior floor care experience.

The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department within the hospital. This position entails supervising and coordinating the activities of environmental services staff to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Position Details

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent. In lieu of education, at least 2 years of lead or leadership experience may be considered.
Experience: 2 years environmental services experience. Prior floor care experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent.
Experience: One-year previous work experience in a leadership role.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
