Job summary

Montefiore Hudson Valley Collaborative seeks a Supervisor of Engineering to manage the operational efficiency of the Engineering and Maintenance services at the Weiler campus. Responsibilities

• Maintain direct correspondence with Municipal Agencies and ensure proper filing of licenses, permits, violations, etc.
• Prepare draw-downs of funds from capital financing programs and manage capital funds.
• Quality assurance designee: establish, implement, monitor and evaluate policies and procedures for Engineering; conduct audits and present recommendations.
• Operate and maintain PC-based systems (accounts payable, capital fund, space allocation, preventive maintenance); create programs and reports.
• Oversee annual operating budgets, ensure budget control and effective management of funds.
• Oversee engineering and maintenance including groundskeeping and snow removal; coordinate with Fire & Safety; ensure safe working conditions.
• Oversight of union staff and recruitment/hiring; participate in evaluations and discipline if needed.
• Inspect off-site MMC properties to ensure safe conditions and patient services.
• Support project implementation and completion as assigned.

This position has the collateral responsibility of administration support for both Engineering and Fire & Safety, in addition to managing administrative and fiscal services within the department to assure maximum achievement of hospital's and department's fiscal objective. Responsible for managing the administrative and technical activities of the Engineering Department to maintain the hospital environment and to ensure efficient operations and quality service. **Essential Functions*** Maintain direct correspondence with Municipal Agencies. Assure proper filing of licensing fees, permits, violations, etc.* Preparation of draw-down of funds from various capital financing programs. Establish accurate and cost-effective management of capital funds.* Quality assurance designee, establish, implement, monitor and evaluate policies and procedures for Engineering.
