Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is seeking candidates for a full-time position that involves receiving and processing laboratory specimens. The role requires entering data into the Lab Information System while ensuring the identity and acceptability of specimens. Preferred candidates will have six months of related experience.

Location: US:PA: Hershey. Full‑time day shift. FTE: 1.00. Hours: 10:00 am-6:30 pm weekdays, 6:00 am-2:30 pm Saturday rotate.
Responsible for receiving laboratory specimens, ensuring specimen identity and acceptability; entering orders for laboratory testing into the Lab Information System; and entering patient demographic and insurance information into the patient registration system. Prepares specimens for analysis. Answers telephone and provides information related to specimen requirements, test availability, specimen testing status; provides laboratory results. Prepares specimens for referral to outside reference laboratories and insures that all storage requirements are met.
