About This Role

The Supervisor, Education & Training in Nursing Professional Development is responsible for leading the orientation, onboarding, and transition processes for nursing staff. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse leader who excels in education, clinical assessment, and collaboration.

What You'll Do

• Create, plan, and lead the implementation of orientation, onboarding, and transition programs.
• Manage the assignment and completion of all orientation, onboarding, and transition requirements.
• Communicate promptly any concerns and partner with nurse leaders on resolutions.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of continuing education and annual competency.
• Evaluate orientation/onboarding/transition progress of team members.
• Serve as an expert clinical resource for new or complex patient care assessments.
• Promote safe and efficient clinical practice, including accurate medication administration.
• Facilitate positive communications and lead unit huddles.
• Participate in recruitment and retention of nurses and other team members.
• Support quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research processes.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing clinical care required
• At least three (3) years of nursing education experience required

Licenses & Certifications:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required
• Nursing specialty certification (e.g., NPD-BC, RN-BC, CEN, CCRN) preferred
