Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Registered Nurse in Hackensack, NJ to provide direct patient care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to reach optimal outcomes.

This full-time, day-shift position requires an Associate degree in Nursing or nursing diploma (BSN preferred) and active NJ RN license with BLS/CPR within 60 days of hire.

You will assess patients, administer medications, communicate with families, and participate in care planning while upholding the ANA Code for Nurses.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of relevant nursing experience OR Nurse Residency Program participation.
• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Initiate interventions related to patient's change in condition.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.
