Universal Background Screening is a nationwide provider of background screening and drug testing services. The Supervisor DTOH will lead a team of DTOH Specialists, coaching them to meet goals and driving onboarding and skill development.

You’ll partner with management on DTOH processes, handle escalations, and ensure accurate handling of search types. The role is full-time, onsite in a fast-paced environment, requiring fluent English and the ability to pass background checks and screenings.

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Supervisor DTOH to join our growing team.

The Supervisor DTOH will act as a primary resource to a team of DTOH Specialists.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and motivate DTOH Specialists to ensure performance goals are met.
• Responsible for new-hire onboarding and ongoing development of knowledge and skillset of DTOH Specialists.
• Handle Team Lead duties and daily miscellaneous DTOH tasks.
• Work with Management to ensure proper handling of all search?types and functions related to DTOH.
• Receive and disposition escalations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working in?Universal’s DTOH Dept or similar operations role, exhibiting strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems within the bounds of department policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to gather and assess information in a fast-paced environment.
• Listening and rapid comprehension skills; strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult customers, customer situations, vendors, and internal staff.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a collaborative environment.
• Must have an eye for detail and great organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in: Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and other web applications.
• Previous experience in background screening or FCRA requirements are a plus.

This position is full-time and onsite Monday through Friday.

Must be available for an in-person interview. Fluent English, both written and verbal, is required.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems within the bounds of department policies and procedures
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within operations, customer service, or a related department.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and web-based applications; experience using browsers such as Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong track record of effectively managing escalations and implementing resolution strategies in accordance with company policies.
• Ability to interpret and act on complex information in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
• Demonstrates emotional intelligence and composure in high-pressure situations involving internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also excelling in a team-oriented setting.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision.
• Previous experience in the background screening industry and familiarity with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) regulations is strongly preferred.

Special Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
• Must be available for an in-person interview.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds.
