Position Overview:

Catalent, Inc. is a leading global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and supplying products that improve lives. Our FDA-licensed CGMP manufacturing facilities for Gene Therapies are located in Harmans, MD, supporting advanced therapeutic products including viral vector-based therapies and vaccines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead manufacturing teams to execute procedures, support operations, and ensure SOP and batch record compliance.
• Operate and monitor production equipment for upstream and downstream processing.
• Ensure team training completion and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Manage deviations, CAPAs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for tech transfer and scale-up activities.
• Review GMP batches with QA, conduct performance reviews, and participate in hiring processes.
• Provide production updates and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain understanding of scientific and technical operations, safety, and GMP compliance.

Qualifications:

• Masters’ degree in a Scientific, Engineering, or Biotech field with 4-6 years’ GMP biologic production experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years’ experience, OR
• HS Diploma or Associate Degree with 8-10 years’ GMP biologic production experience.

Additional Skills:

• Leadership experience and knowledge of mammalian or microbial cell culture and large-scale bioprocessing equipment.
• Strong GMP documentation skills and scientific problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range in Maryland: $93,280 to $128,260 plus shift differential and bonus. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, 401K match, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and career growth opportunities.
